Almond Fish Fingers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb white fish fillets, such as
  •     orange roughy or possibly halibut
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  •     Salt to taste
  •     Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
  • 1 x egg
  • 1/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 c. whole blanched almonds finely minced
  • 2 quart vegetable oil - (or possibly more) for frying
  • 1/2 c. reduced-fat mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. reduced-fat lowfat sour cream
  • 1/2 c. mixed minced fresh herbs
  •     (parsley, chives, tarragon, thyme, chervil)
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  •     Salt to taste
  •     Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
