Apple Marzipan Galette Recipe


1 Recipe Galette dough (recipe below)
1/4 cup marzipan, softened
4 medium sized apples. sliced
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 teaspoons lemon juice
Dash of salt
1/4 cup Sliced almonds, some to drizzle on top
Galette Dough (Makes enough for two 8-inch galettes)
3 tbsp sour cream (or yogurt or buttermilk)
1/3 cup (approximately) ice water
1 cup All purpose flour
1/4 cup Cornmeal
1 tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
7 tbsps cold unsalted butter, cut into 6 to 8 pieces
