Ingredients
What you need:
*Substitution for mirin:
- 1 chicken breast cut into pieces
- 1 small onion cut into slightly chunky pieces
- A handful of bean sprouts
- Mushrooms (optional)
- 2 tablespoons of mirin*
- A dash of salt
- 1 egg
- About a tablespoon of soya sauce
- Chicken broth, about 1/4 cup.
- Brown rice, or any rice you wish to use, cooked.
- Scallions/green onions
- Pickled ginger on the side
*Substitution for mirin:
- 3 tablespoons Shaoxing wine (Chinese cooking wine will do, or any white cooking wine or something... or you can use sake.)
- 1 Tablespoon of sugar
- A pinch of salt if you haven't already :)
