  • 3 cups sliced apples
  • 4 cups sliced pears
  • 1 cup blueberries or strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • TOPPING -
  • 1 cup rolled oats (not the quick cooking kind)
  • 1 cup chopped toasted walnuts or pecans
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar, light or dark
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
