  • 50 ml boiling water
  • 4-5 tbsp white wine vinegar
For the gravy

  • 1 small onion, finely sliced
  • 100 ml red wine
  • 1 tsp redcurrant jelly
  • 375 ml brown stock
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • freshly ground salt and black pepper
