  • Filling
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 lb ripe nectarines, cut in 1/2-in.-thick wedges
  • 1 lb sweet red-, black- or yellow- skinned cherries, pitted
  • 1 Tbsp cold unsalted butter, cut in bits
  • 2 Tbsp heavy (whipping) cream, half-and-half or milk
