Three-bean Chili 'n' Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 6 slices  bacon, chopped
  • 1 large  onion, chopped
  • 2 large  sweet green peppers, cored, seeded and chopped
  • 1 can  (28 ounces) crushed fire-roasted tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons  chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons  ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons  dried oregano
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons  garlic salt
  • 2 cans  (15.5 ounces each) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cans  (15.5 ounces each) red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can  (15.5 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 large package  refrigerated buttermilk biscuits, optional
