  • 3/4 cup  chopped sweet onion (such as Vidalia or Walla Walla)
  • 3 tablespoons  snipped fresh cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons  lemon juice
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons  seeded and finely chopped fresh jalapeno pepper*
  • 2 tablespoons  olive oil
  • 1/2   salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon  pepper
  • 1   avocado, halved, seeded, peeled, and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons  lime juice
  •   Shredded romaine lettuce
  •   Lime wedges
