  • 3 ounces  fresh shiitake mushrooms* (1 cup)
  • 2 ounces  fresh oyster mushrooms* (3/4 cup)
  • 1 large  sweet onion (such as Vidalia or Walla Walla), halved lengthwise and thinly sliced (2 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons  butter or margarine
  • 3 ounces  fresh button mushrooms, sliced (1 1/4 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons  chopped dried tomatoes (oil pack)
  • 1 tablespoon  balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon  salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon  pepper
  • 2   beef top sirloin or 4 ribeye steaks, cut 1 inch thick (2 1/2 to 3 pounds)
