Ingredients

  • 12 ounces  skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 pound  broccoli
  • 1/2 cup  chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons  teriyaki sauce
  • 2 teaspoons  cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon  toasted sesame oil
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons  cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon  grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove  garlic, minced
  • 2 cups  fresh medium mushrooms, halved or quartered
  • 8 ounces  fresh bean sprouts (2 cups)
  • 1   red or green sweet pepper, cut into lengthwise strips (3/4 cup)
  • 1 8-ounce can  sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 4 cups  coarsely shredded lettuce (optional)
