Cheddar-jelly Thumbprints

Ingredients

  • 6 oz.  white cheddar cheese or extra-sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup  finely shredded Parmesan cheese (2 oz.)
  • 1/2 cup  butter, softened
  • 1   egg yolk
  • 1 cup  all-purpose flour
  • 1   egg white
  • 1 Tbsp.  water
  • 1-1/4 cups  finely chopped pecans
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup  green and/or red jalapeno jelly
