  • 1 cup chopped yellow onions
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup (1/2-inch cubes) rindless Brie cheese
  • 1 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 (6 1/2-ounce) jar marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 4 strips bacon, fried crisp, drained and chopped
  • 1 pound lump crabmeat, picked over for shells and cartilage
