  6. Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  8. 3 tablespoons grainy mustard
  9. 2 tablespoons minced chives
  10. 2 tablespoons coarsely chopped flat-leaf parsley
  11. 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  12. 1 tablespoon crme frache
  13. 1 pound thickly sliced bacon
  14. About 1/3 cup all-purpose flour, for dusting
  15. 8 medium soft-shell crabs, cleaned
  16. 1 long baguette, split lengthwise
  17. Lemon wedges, for serving
