  • 4 cups fresh corn kernels or two 10-ounce packages frozen whole kernel corn
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 5 ounce cans evaporated milk (1-1/3 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Dash pepper
  • 3/4 cup shredded process Swiss or Gruyere cheese
  • 3/4 cup soft bread crumbs (1 slice)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup shredded process Swiss or Gruyere cheese
