Ingredients
- ½kg / 1 pound of good beef
- 1 small or 2 medium onions
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dijon mustard (or any other strong-ish mustard)
- 2/3 tsp cracked black pepper
- 500-800 ml/2-3 cups of good, strong beefstock
- 1 gherkin (about 4 inches long, sweet-sour will do great)
- salt (if necessary)
- 3-4 tbsp AP flour OR 2-3 tsp corn starch oil for frying
