Pasta With Tuna, Peas And Fresh Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • Pasta 
  • cubed pancetta or bacon (say, a handful - more if you want) 
  • 1 onion, chopped finely, but not preciously. 
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled. 
  • olive oil (the chilli-infused stuff is wonderful here) 
  • salt and pepper to taste 
  • a few pinches of sugar 
  • four or five medium sized tomatoes 
  • 300g of frozen peas (tho' I often use far more than this because I am something of a pea-addict) 
  • 1 tin of tuna (the standard size) 
  • parmesan (yes, even with fish - it's unorthodox, totally un-Italian, but I always use it unapologetically -because it's yummy)
