8 ounces crimini mushrooms (baby portabellas)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
5 bay leaves
2 teaspoons ground pepper
3 tablespoons honey
1/2 bottle red wine
1 can (11-ounce) condensed cream of chicken and mushroom soup
16 ounces beef broth
1 apple, quartered and cored
