  • 125 g diced bacon (1 cup)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 250 g chicken livers (2 cups)
  • 75 g butter or margarine (1/2 cup)
  • 13 ml sherry or brandy (1 tblsp)
  • 25 ml cream (2 tblsp)
  • 25 ml finely chopped parsley (2 tblsp)
  • 2 ml salt (3/4 teaspoon)
  • 1 ml blackpepper (1/4 teaspoon)
  • 1 slice of whole grain bread
  • pinch mixed spices
