Crispy Fried Fish Tacos Recipe

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 Tbs sweet pickle relish
  • 1-1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 Tbs kosher salt
  • 1 tsp freshly ground white pepper (I used black pepper)
  • 1 pound tilapia fillets, cut into 4” by 1” strips (I used red snapper)
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 3 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 3 cups vegetable oil, for frying
  • 12 corn tortillas, warmed
  • Shredded cabbage, lettuce, cilantro and sliced scallions, for serving

Description

I Saw This In Food And Wine Magazine And Wanted To Try It Because The Sauce Ingredients Looked Interesting. The Sauce Was Delicious! The Recipe Was Easy To Cut In Half As Well, Which Is Something I Look For A Lot.
