Ingredients
- 6 cans of red beets with liquid
- (or prepare 12 cups of cooked fresh beets reserving some water)
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup brown sugar (granular okay, I just prefer brown)
- 2 cinnimon sticks
- 5 cloves
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
Description
Mom Made Pickled Beets All The Time When I Was A Kid. I Think It Was One Of Those "know It By Heart" Type Of Dishes Because I Couldn't Find Her Recipe. Howeve After Much Experimentation I'm Pretty Close.
