Lamb Tagine In The Crock Pot Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp tumeric
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 3 lbs boneless lamb shoulder or leg cut into 2 inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 Tbs oil
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 2 large onions cut into slices
  • 10 shallots peeled, left whole
  • 4 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 Tbs minced ginger
  • 1 cup dried apricots
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 Tbs honey
  • 2 to 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 1/2 cup vegtable broth
  • 1 cup pitted dates
  • garnish: almonds and lemon

Description

This Recipe, We Thought Glorious. Its Was The Recipe Of The Week In A Magazine And My Husband Wanted Me To Make It. I Did Not Brown The Meat But Placed Everything In The Crockpot. It Was Wonderful. Next Time I May Brown The Meat With The Spices To Release
