- 3 lbs boneless lamb shoulder or leg cut into 2 inch cubes
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 Tbs oil
- 1 Tbs butter
- 2 large onions cut into slices
- 10 shallots peeled, left whole
- 4 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 Tbs minced ginger
- 1 cup dried apricots
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 Tbs honey
- 2 to 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1 1/2 cup vegtable broth
- 1 cup pitted dates
- garnish: almonds and lemon

This Recipe, We Thought Glorious. Its Was The Recipe Of The Week In A Magazine And My Husband Wanted Me To Make It. I Did Not Brown The Meat But Placed Everything In The Crockpot. It Was Wonderful. Next Time I May Brown The Meat With The Spices To Release
