Shrimp Korma And Basmati Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 c chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 c chopped onion
  • 1-1/2 TB flour
  • 1 tsp fresh,grated ginger root
  • 3 garlic cloves,finely chopped
  • 2 tsp Madras curry powder(or whatever curry powder you have)
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp salt,divided
  • 2 c vegetable broth
  • 1/3 c water
  • 1/3 c coconut milk
  • 1/4 c diced tomato
  • 1/4 c frozen green peas
  • 1 lb peeled,deveined large shrimp
  • 4 c hot,cooked basmati rice
  • 1/4 c fat-free plain yogurt(I used Greek)
