Semi-homemade Fruit Cream Cake (crema De Fruta) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 round store-bought angel food cake
  • CREAM FILLING:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cake flour
  • 2 3/4 cups fresh milk
  • 5 eggyolks
  • 3/4 cup water
  • GELATIN:
  • 1 1/2 cups pineapple juice ( use drained juice from fruit cocktail &
  • add enough pineapple juice to make 1 1/2 cups)
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Calamansi or lemon juice
  • 1 29 ounce can fruit cocktail or peaches, drained
