Basic Whole Wheat Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • ¼ teaspoon active dry yeast
  • ½ cup warm water, 105°-115°F
  • 6 cups whole wheat flour
  • vital wheat gluten, added according to package directions
  • 2½ teaspoons salt
  • 2¼ cups lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons molasses (not honey!)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
