Ingredients
- 1lb potato gnocchi
- 5 strips bacon cut into lardoons(1/3 inch strips across the grain)
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1-3 tbsp oil as needed
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated mozzarella
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan or other hard Italian cheese(asiago would be great)
- 12-14 leaves fresh basil cut into 1/4 inch strips
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 dash cayenne
- salt and pepper to taste
