• For vanilla Malt Cupcakes
• 1 1/2 sticks butter, softened
• 1 1/2 cup sugar
• 3 large eggs(or, 1 whole egg and 2 yolks, to get a richer, yellow color)
• 3t vanilla
• 2 cups all purpose flour
• 2t baking powder
• 1/2t salt
• 2/3 cups malted milk powder
• 1/2 cup milk or buttermilk
• 1/2 cup sour cream
• For Strawberry Malt Cupcakes
• 1 box strawberry cake mix
• 3/4 cup malted milk powder
• and all other ingredients listed on the cake mix box :)
• For Malted buttercream Frosting
• 2lbs powdered sugar
• 2 sticks butter, softened
• 3t vanilla
• 1/2 cup malted milk powder
• 1/2 cup half and half
