Baked Butter Pecan French Toast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter (I use unsalted)
  • 2 T. honey
  • 1 c. chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1 (1-pound) loaf of French bread, cut into 1/2-inch thick slices
  • 2 c. (about 8 oz.) finely chopped ham
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1 2/3 c. milk
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 1 t. pumpkin pie spice
  • (pumpkin pie spice can be substituted with 1/2 t. ground cinnamon, 1/4 t. ground ginger, 1/8 t. ground nutmeg and 1/8 t. ground cloves.)
  • **maple syrup, if you would like =D
