Ingredients
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. butter (I use unsalted)
- 2 T. honey
- 1 c. chopped pecans, toasted
- 1 (1-pound) loaf of French bread, cut into 1/2-inch thick slices
- 2 c. (about 8 oz.) finely chopped ham
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 1 2/3 c. milk
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1 T. sugar
- 1 t. pumpkin pie spice
- (pumpkin pie spice can be substituted with 1/2 t. ground cinnamon, 1/4 t. ground ginger, 1/8 t. ground nutmeg and 1/8 t. ground cloves.)
- **maple syrup, if you would like =D
