Ingredients
- 3 small apples, Granny Smith, cored, chopped (sometimes I just use two)
- 2 medium pears, cored, chopped (I like to use three)
- 1/4 cup raisins (I throw in a couple extra)
- 3 (generous) Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 2 1/2 tsp. lemon zest (extra is ok too)
- 1/2 cup unpacked brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/2 cup Old-Fashioned oats (I like to use organic)
- 1/4 cup Almomds, ground (I prefer slivered almonds for the extra crunchiness)
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
- 2 Tbs. reduced-calorie margarine
