Ingredients
- 3 Cups turkey Chunks
- 1 Cup long grain white rice (can use half wild rice if you like)
- 2 Cups chicken broth for cooking rice
- 2 (10 oz) Packages frozen broccoli pieces (thawed) (Can use fresh broccoli , steamed first, if you like.)
- SAUCE INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Can cream of chicken soup
- 1 Can sliced mushrooms (Can use fresh and saute first)
- 1/3 Cup milk
- 2 Tablespoons Sherry
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fine herbs (use your favorite)
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 Medium onion, Chopped
- 1/4 Cup green pepper, Chopped
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1 Cup cheddar cheese, Grated
- TOPPING: 1/2 Cup parmesan cheese
Description
This Is A Great Recipe For Using Up Leftover Turkey Or Chicken, Especially During The Holidays. My Family Looks Forward To Having This After We've Had A Turkey. My Original Recipe Didn't Call For Fresh Veggies, But That Is What I Like To Use.
