Venison Biryani Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup basmati rice or long grain rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 lime
  • 1 lbs venison cut into 1 - 1 1/2 inch pieces
  • 3 Tbls butter
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 6 red chilies or hot cherry peppers chopped
  • 3 green hot peppers, jalapeno or serrano peppers chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cloves
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 2 small tomatoes
  • ¼ cup yogurt
  • ¼ tsp saffron
