Apple Cinnamoni Empanadas Recipe


  • Pie Dough
  • 2 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) chilled unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 can of apple Filling (comstock brand is very good)
  • 1 lg. beaten egg


Empanadas Are Basically Turnovers, But In Mexico We Call Them Empanadas, They Are Filled With Different Fruit Fillings And Sometimes Even Meat. These Apple Ones Are The Bomb!! Perfect Companion For Some Fresh Brewed Java.
