- 4 asparagus spears, trimmed, peeled, and cut into 2-inch lengths
- 1/2 cup green peas, fresh or frozen
- 2 cups thinly sliced mushrooms (about 1/2 pound)
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound spaghetti or spaghettini
- 2/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 6 fresh leaves basil
