Ingredients

  1. 3 pounds thin asparagus, trimmed and cut on the diagonal into 1 1/2 -inch lengths
  2. 1 1/2 pounds leeks, white and tender green, halved lengthwise and sliced crosswise 1 1/2 inches thick
  3. 12 scallions, cut into 1 1/2 -inch lengths
  4. 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  5. 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  6. Salt and freshly ground pepper
  7. 2 cups heavy cream
  8. 1/4 cup chopped dill
  9. 2 pounds dried fettuccine
  10. 3/4 pound smoked ham, cut into 2-by-1/4-inch strips
  11. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
