Ingredients

  3. 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon red-wine vinegar
  4. 1 clove garlic, minced
  5. 3/4 teaspoon salt
  6. 1/4 teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper
  7. 1/2 pound fontina, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  8. 2 cups halved cherry tomatoes
  9. 1 rib celery, sliced
  10. 1 small red onion, chopped
  11. 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
  12. 1/2 head romaine lettuce, cut into bite-size pieces (about 3 cups)
  13. 6 ounces sliced Black Forest ham, cut into strips approximately 1 1/2 by 1/2 inch
