Lemon-Coconut Tart with Brown-Sugar Cream

Ingredients

CRUST

  1. 1 1/3 cups crushed graham cracker crumbs (10 squares)
  2. 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sweetened shredded coconut
  3. 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  4. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

FILLING

  1. 4 large egg yolks
  2. One 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons finely grated lemon zest
  4. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  5. 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  6. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  7. 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  8. 1/2 cup cream of coconut, such as Coco Lopez

TOPPING AND ACCOMPANIMENTS

  1. 2/3 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  2. 2 pints strawberries, hulled and sliced
  3. 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  4. 1 1/2 cups cold heavy cream
