  • 2 tablespoons (1/4 sticks) butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely choppe
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 cups lowfat milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

    • 3/4 pound asparagus
    • 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
    • 6 to 9 lasagne noodles

    • 1 1/3 cups shredded Swiss cheese (about 5 ounces)
    • 1 cup diced Canadian bacon (about 5 1/2 ounces)
    • 1/2 cup canned tomato sauce
    • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
