- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup anisette liqueur
- 1 tablespoon (about) water
- Fresh mint sprigs
For the compote:
- 2 cups water
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 tablespoons aniseed, chopped
- 6 ounces dried apricots
- 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon anisette liqueur
- 1 pineapple, peeled, cored, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
- 1 1/2 1-pint baskets strawberries, halved
- 6 kiwi fruit, peeled, cut into 3/4-inch cubes, or 3 cups green grapes
