- 3-ounce piece white chocolate, shaved into curls
- Sprigs fresh mint
- 2 cups RASPBERRY SAUCE:
- 2 pints raspberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 sheet pan Chocolate Sponge cake, cut into 3 (9 by 5-inch) slices

- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons butter
- 8 eggs
- 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
