  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 cup superfine sugar
  • 3 tablespoons confectioners sugar
  • 4 cups strawberries, hulled and halved or quartered if large
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries, washed, picked over, and patted dry
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries, washed, picked over, and patted dry
