Italian Easter Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Dry Active Yeast, Sprinkle yeast into warm water and let stand
  • 3 tablespoons Butter, or Margarine, Melted
  • 12 teaspoon Anise Extract
  • 12 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 12 teaspoon Salt
  • 12 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Raisins, soaked in 1 cup boiling water
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 4 Eggs, uncooked, May be colored with food coloring
