Turkey in Red Mole Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups [360 mL] flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ teaspoon [3 mL] garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] sugar
  • 4 ounces [110 g] butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons [30 to 60 mL] dry white wine, chilled
  • 12 ounces [340 g] beef sirloin steak, semifrozen, sliced very thin
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] vegetable oil
  • ½ onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] sugar
  • ½ teaspoon [3 mL] whole leaf oregano
  • ½ teaspoon [3 mL] ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon [1 mL] ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon [1 mL] ground allspice
  • 1 small bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons [45 mL] raisins, soaked in warm water and drained
  • 6 canned apricot halves, slivered
