2 bay leaves
¼ tsp. cayenne*
1-14 oz. can of crushed tomatoes or tomato puree
1 heaping cup of plain yogurt
1 ¾ cups of water
2 lbs. raw peeled shrimp

1 ½ cups dried Basmati rice
1 pinch saffron (optional)
Salt and pepper
