  • 250g shelled peas (or pkt frozen peas)
  • 4 large lettuce leaves, (approx), washed, not drained
  • 1 spring onion/shallot chopped
  • 30g butter, (approx)
  • 4 small sprigs mint, washed and chopped
  • a pinch of salt
  • a pinch of sugar


French-style Peas - Fresh Peas (or Frozen) Are Cooked With Lettuce For A Change. This Recipe Uses Up Outer Lettuce Leaves, Often Discarded But Nutritious. Tastes Much Better Than It Looks!
