- 1 large onion, chopped
- 8 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 3 sticks celery, chopped
- 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 litre hot water
- 5 cubes beef stock
- 1 (400g) tin whole plum tomatoes
- 200g fresh or frozen sliced okra
- 4 spring onions, chopped
- 225g cooked small prawns
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Description
A Traditional Recipe For Gumbo. Chicken Is Simmered With Smoked Sausage, Prawns, Okra And Green Peppers In A Thick Brown Sauce. Serve With Rice, If Desired.
