Schwartzwalder Roulade (black Forest Roll)

Ingredients

  • 1½ tins (650g) black cherries pitted in juice
  • 2 tablespoons Kirsch liqueur or cherry brandy
  • For the filling
  • 250g dark chocolate
  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • For the base
  • 6 large eggs, separated
  • 155g caster sugar
  • 60g cocoa powder, sifted
  • FOR THE TOPPING:
  • 300ml thickened cream
  • Melted dark chocolate or icing sugar for decoration

I Got This Recipe When I Was Working In Germany. It's Kind Of Like A Black Forest Cake But Rolled. It Is So Rich And Delicious - You Just Will Not Believe It! It Takes A Little Time, But Its Worth It.
