Ingredients
- 1-1/4 C. cooked chicken/turkey meat, cut into chunks
- 1 Tbs. canola or olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced very thin
- 4 scallions, white and light green parts, sliced large
- 1 C. chicken broth/stock
- 1/4 C. white wine
- 1/4 tsp. sage
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- Pepper to taste
- 1 Tbs. ginger, grated
- 4 pieces bacon, fried crisp but not overdone, and crumbled large
- 6 pitted dates cut in thirds
- 1/4 C. sliced almonds
