- 1 stick butter plus 1/3 C. butter â room temperature
- 1 Tbs. Maple Extract
- 1 Tbs. kosher salt
- 8 to 9 C. unbleached all purpose flour
- Maple Filling :
- 1 ¾ C. granulated sugar
- 1 Tbs. Maple Extract
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 C. finely chopped almonds (or whatever nut you prefer)
- 1 C. melted butter
- Maple Glaze :
- 4 C. confectioners sugar â sifted to remove lumps
- 1 tsp. Maple Extract
- 4 to 6 Tbs. milk
