- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tsp. fresh minced ginger
- 1/2 sm. onion
- 1 sm. green bell pepper
- 1 sm. red bell pepper
- one 8-oz. can chunk pineapple, juice reserved
- 1 egg
- 1 C. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- oil, for frying
- Sauce:
- 1/4 C. chicken broth
- 1/4 C. cider vinegar
- 1/4 C. packed brown sugar
- 3 Tbs. ketchup
- 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
- 1 Tbs. pineapple juice
- Thickener:
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbs. water
