1 lb kielbasa or 1 lb chorizo sausage or 1 lb andouille sausage, cut into 1/2 inch cubes5 tablespoons canola oil, divided1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1 inch cubes3 cups chicken broth or 3 cups water3 tablespoons all-purpose flour1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper1/2 cup chopped yellow bell pepper1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper1/2 cup chopped purple onion1 cup diced carrot1/2 cup chopped celery2 cloves garlic, minced1 cup cubed jicama2 tablespoons choppedparsley or 2 tablespoons cilantro, if you like the taste1 (16 ounce) cans dark red kidney beans1 bay leaf, crumbled1 teaspoon summer savory, crumbled5 teaspoons ground red chili pepper, if available(or substitute chili powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper sauce to taste)1/2 cup chopped green onion
