1/4 cup minced fresh parsley

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed

1/8 teaspoon chili powder or ground red pepper

1 bay leaf

1 cup uncooked regular long-grain white rice

3/4 pound medium cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
